Lacintha sent me pictures of the heart book she made. She used Foof-a-la Red,Black and Cream line of papers. She removed the binding and pinched holes through each of the pages and ran a metal ring through.
The book is titled "Love Touch" and shares the various "Love Touch" moments in her family...
I have a lot of fun projects that the DT did using our coaster albums, but with a twist. They could not use it as an album, they had to get creative. I also challenged them to use the new journaling stamps. I hope you enjoy all the great projects everyone came up with.
Aubrey's Softball Rocks box has a round coaster on the top of it and then she covered the chipboard coasters with paper and uses them for real coasters.
For Hey Girlies, Aubrey used a round coaster as a fun embellishment and the circle journling stamp for her journling.
The Ipod layout uses foundations chipboard circles, the circle journal stamp, and some of the circle stamps (from the journaling set) on the background.
Aubrey all sent me some other layouts that she had done recently that uses new Maya Road journaling stamps.
Fiona made the cutest gift tags with her coasters and jouranling stamps. These look wonderful tied to the little bucket of candy.
Fiona used individual shapes from the coater books as the base to create gift tags, the flower shapes are covered with pattern paper.
She stamped the journaling stamps onto smooth cardstock and cut the journaling shapes out. The tags are mounted on foam adhesive to give a more dimensional look to them.
Glitter glue and small jewels have been used to add some sparkle to the gift tags and ribbon to finish them off.
Greetje made a really cute little box with lots of Maya Road goodies.
She also made this bright and cheery "Welcome Summer" banner. I really like how she used all the petals on the second coaster. What a fun idea.
Heather used the tag coasters to make a Welcome sign.
Heather loved the patterned paper but wanted to jazz it up a bit. She used the small star circle stamp with Ranger Nick Bantock brown ink to add a little detail. She also used some of Ranger Glossy Accents to add a little shine to a few of the other dots.
Judi made this fun canvas using the tag coasters and Maya Road stamps. She used the stamps for the background and to decorate the chipboard letters.
Kim made this wonderful wall hanging for her family using the square coasters.
Lisa used the flower coaster to make a great embellishment for her layout.
This is a keepsake that Lisa made for her niece who should arrive in May. It is meant to hang on the side of her crib. The front of the banner has her name (Isabella Kate). The front of the heart will have her birth information... date, time, length and weight. The back has a place to record her weight and length each month up to a year old. Lisa used the three blossom coaster albums, crushed velvet ribbon as well as the velvet ric rac, foundations journaling stamps and Maya Road chipboard letters.
Suzy used the tag and flower coaster books for these fun embellishments on her layouts.
Hope you enjoyed all the wonderful projects by our AWESOME design team.
I hope everyone has had a chance to stop by Caroline's blog for her fun challenge. You just might win an awesome RAK.
It's been awhile since I've had a chance to scrapbook so I told Caroline that I would take her up on her challenge too. Her challenge, was to use some older stuff out of your stash. I used some new MR stuff but I went through my stash and pulled out some fun stuff too.
This weekend I'm posting pictures of the DT challenge projects, so make sure you check them out. They came up with some really cute ideas.
Marieke from New Zealand sent me an image of this cute Secret box she made. She decorated it for the Lime Tart Design Team. (Australian kit club).
She painted the box and then covered the sides with paper. Then she covered a sheer flower with glitter and put it in the window in the lid with some beads and buttons. She turned the window into a shadow box by covering it with acetate and then hiding it underneath some Bazzill. The window was stitched on the cardstock before gluing it down.
Thanks for sharing Marieke!!
Also, Sheryl who is on the DT for Sarah's Shabby Shoppe in Canada sent a couple projects she did using the sheer blossoms.
The first project she used her March Supplement kit and the Treasure Box and Treasure Book. Unfortunately, it sold out really fast but I still hope that you enjoy the inspiration and enjoy all her projects.
This is her Coffee Break Book project - it's called ONE SHOT, and is a book of inspirations for her.
This last project she used the 4x4 binder to keep track of all the things she wants to see and do next time she gets to go to Paris.
