Is everyone excited that it is finally CHA week? I know I am. I can't wait to hear all about it. How about some Valentine fun today? It will be here before we know it. I love the Maya Road singleton stamps. They are perfect for cardmaking. The owl is one of my favorites. I love to add some bling to my projects. For this card I chose to add some bling by adding a shaker box heart to my little owl. I have added glitter, but you could also add small beads or a charm.
For this project you will need the following:
Maya Road Brackets Chipboard Set
White cardstock folded to 4 x 5 1/2 (for the card) and 2 x 2 3/4 (for the stamped image)
Patterned paper cut to 5 1/4 x 3 3/4
Patterned paper cut to 2 1/4 x 3 (to mat the owl)
Craft knife
Glitter
Vintage Die Cuts
Tiny alphabet stickers
Black ink
Coordinating ink for chipboard
Small empty
Adhesive
Double-sided thick foam adhesive strips
To begin adhere background patterned paper to card. Stamp owl on smaller piece of white cardstock using black ink.
Next cut out a heart shape hole in the center of the owl using your craft knife. Push the plastic cover out of your small empty
Mat owl with smaller piece of patterned paper (carefully so you don’t spill glitter)
Next adhere the Maya Road sheer onto the patterned paper (I chose "Love"). Adhere matted owl to card on top of sheer. Add vintage die cuts around corners of matted owl as shown. Use thick foam adhesive if desired to raise. Ink one chipboard bracket and adhere using thick foam adhesive to raise. Tie pink ribbon in bow and add to owl. Add your title using small alphabet letter stickers. I chose "Owl Love You Forever"
Give your card to someone you love on Valentine's Day.
Enjoy!
Debbie :)
