I love Maya Road's sheer journal spots but I wanted to do something a little different with them for this post. So today I am going to show you how to make a fun little mini album using some Sheer Scalloped cards, Noah Mini Chipboard Alphabet, Maya Road Trinket Leaf Pins,Maya Road Journaling Tags (white), Maya Road Mist (emerald), paint, paper, and a sewing machine!
Gather several sheer cards that will make up your album. For some of the pages I painted them with paint.
Next I cut my photos to fit on the inside of the sheer cards and sewed through the photo and the card!
Next I added paper and some chipboard letters which I had sprayed with Maya Mist. The great thing about the mini letters is they perfect for little spaces. Also, I was able to spell 7 words with one set of letters!
And now for the covers. Here I took a stamp and stamped right onto the chipboard to give it a little texture. On the back cover I used Maya Mist to cover the letters. With half of the card painted and half with paper I used the pins as "trees" which I stuck behind the paper!
Maya Road journaling cards aren't just for journaling any more. They make great mini albums too. I used all the same sized cards but I think it would be fun to mix it up with other sizes and shapes! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!! Shelley Haganman
