My son Noah (who is 3) told us the other day "Mama and Dada, I want to have a house for myself. I will have lots of dogs and cats but the dogs can't come into my room. You all can come visit me." That made me smile. I wanted to see what he thought "his house" would look like.
Noah got the chance to play with some of my supplies under some supervision when he had a friend over the other day. I gave him one of our chipboard villas and asked him to decorate it how he wanted. I gave him some markers, stickers, glue, glitter stickers (glitter without so much the mess), stamps and told him to go for it!
Here is the villa as he saw it- notice all the "shingles" on the roof:
He even drew a "puppet" to live on the back side of the house:
He decided to "close off" the chimney part - looks like there are going to be no fireplaces in this house:
But there are a lot of beautiful butterflies and ladybugs and dragonflies that make themselves at home on his house:
I love all the tiny details he put into his house. It will be holding some tissues in his room and I have put his name and the date he made it on the bottom of his house. I hope to keep it for many years so he can look back and remember what he envisioned at the age of 3 - having a house would be like! I plan on helping him decorate the album that comes in the house so he can document his dogs and cats and dreams for his little house!
Here is a photo of the artist himself.

isn't kids art the best!? I LOVE my kids creations.

It is very artistic....and I think Miss Lisa is having way too much glitter influence over him!!
Cutie pie project!
My daughter used the Villa to make a leprechaun catcher last year for St. Patrick's day. Very cute!
