Hi Roadies! With Spring being just around the corner, I thought I'd share one of my favorite Spring projects with you today.
When I was given the Mementos Air Mail box to work with for CHA, I wanted to try doing something a little different, as I had done a mailbox and album before. So I decided to combine the mailbox with a Mementos Town House. Here's how it turned out.
To keep the mailbox door from closing (or bending up) I attached some thick chipboard to the bottom of the box to keep it rigid.
Pages from the Scroll Binder were used to construct the roof. Because the length of the pages were not long enough to fit the sides of the mailbox, I glued and taped 2 pages together to create 1 long side of the roof (x2) . Then taped the two "seamed" pages together with masking tape to create the center peak of the roof.
The Tiny Banner Stamp Set was used to create the banners seen in the close up below...
... and Trinket Pins were added between the strips of grass on the side of the house. The mini picket fence and flower chipboard pieces used are from the new Green Thumb Chipboard Set.
For a fun touch, I added a propeller to the top of the roof, which was made out of chipboard pieces from the Mixed Blossoms and Mixed Shapes sets.
Since the house looked a little empty, I created a little chick to go with it. Here she is checking out her new place! :)

Wow, that's a mailbox? Everything, from the picket fence to the roof of that 'house', has a very cute, fairy tale-like quality to it. It's very nice!
