Hi everyone!!
One of my Winter CHA projects was to alter a canvas board. It had to have my photo on it but that was the only requirement. After a lot of thought, I came up with this:
That's a photo of me from when I was young and I thought the black and white photo contrasted the rest of the piece really well.
This was very simple to create. I first took the board and lined up all my acrylic paints. I finger-painted each color so there was a little overlap but not too much. Then I lined up random Maya Road embellishments that either matched the colors or could be altered.
Then I re-colored on top of the chipboard pieces to make sure they blended in. I also colored my chipboard letters (I reversed the direction of color on the letters so they went from blues to pinks.) I then added my photo and the title.
The last step was to stamp the journaling lines and add some words. And I was done.
Super-simple but also super-fun. I hope you give this technique a try in your next project.
And make sure you add more color to your life too!!
