Hi there Roadies! We hope you have enjoyed our blog swap week with Authentique! We have had so much fun creating with their papers and stickers and more.
Today I want to share with you a simple layout I made using their papers and our Maya Road embellishments:
My dad passed away a little while ago after a long battle with cancer. We all miss him a lot. But rather than dwell on him being gone, we all choose to celebrate what a joy for life he brought and how much he filled our lives with happiness. I wanted to remember my dad during a time when he was still feeling pretty good and so happy to be surrounded by my mom and all five of his grandbabies:
I used papers from Authentique's Gathering and Free Bird (this was a 6 x 6 pad and perfect for backing photos) paper collections. Don't be afraid to mix papers from different lines.
I also use some Diction Stickers from Authentique to complete my layout. A strip of the Authentique papers from the Gathering collection was the perfect "ribbon" that I formed by pleating it and then gluing it in place.
I paird the papers with some bits of Maya Road to complete the layout. The Tiny Wood Rulers, Tomato Red Twine Cording, Alterable Wood Buttons, Ruffle Blossoms in Cream and Bingo Numbers were all from Maya Road and provided me with a nice way to frame my photo.
For my journaling I used some of our new Maya Road Mini Jotters in white.
