Hello Roadies, Ronda here with a step by step for you. This "Wonder" tag makes me happy. The colors are so me along with all the layers. There is a little bit of everything on this tag, vintage items, old well loved products, and gorgeous new pieces. Here's a quick look at how I put it together.
- Emboss tag with embossing folder.
- Add a thin layer of gesso and then paint with Maya Mists. Here I used Sunflower Yellow and Buttermilk Cream.
- Add bits fo torn text using gel medium or other adhesive
- Sprinkle background with bits of Maya Mists. I used Dragon Fruit Pink.
- Stamp edges with Fontly Yours Maya Road stamp & add ticket strip towards the bottom of the tag.
- Cut out butterfly image & cut word from fabric tape. Add both to the upper left of the tag
- Add bits of beeswax around the edges of the tag
- Glue vintage thread to the background using gel medium
- Paint wooden bird with Maya Mists then add paper flowers and seal will coats of beeswax. I used diluted Turquoise Metallic and then regular Turquoise Metallic for the belly of the bird.
- Adhere bird to tag using pop up adhesive above the wooden twig
- Add some gingham point flowers and antique alterable scallop trim. For that little pop of red, add in a small strip of the gingham fabric tap cut at an angle.
- Finish the tag by adding some blackberry twine cording in a cute bow at the top. I also like to knot my cording at the ends.
