Gift wrapping made easy

Hello there!

Ania here with a little gift box I created for my sweet, adorable niece who just got confirmed this past weekend!

We gifted her a hand stamped necklace & money, and I found these empty Maya Road tins to be just the perfect size for our gifts! Some of the chipboard or sheers from MR come in these tins, you see. Perfect for altering or, in this case, repurposing!

Here is the opened tin. I created the divisions using one whole sheet of paper, folding it along the way...(it's very simple, here you can see how it looks folded out when doing this). Anyways. My divisions made room for two slim rooms on each end for money, and two large rooms in the middle for matchbook-album & jewellery case. I am thinking to fill the void space above the jewellery case with something, hmhm, bubble gum or...?

A very simple card was created to go with the tin. I love the Portrait Mini Chipboard Set - my favorite thing to do with them atm is covering them with white acrylic paint or gesso, spray Sunshine Yellow Maya Mist on it when the paint is dry and immediately dab off the excess mist with paper towels. The color you'll get is a sort of mottled yellow base with orange blotches. Very pretty, especially when covering it with iridcescent glitter and layering glossy accent upon to seal it all in. Totally my to-go thing to do w/smaller chipboard elements.

The little matchbox-album is just a simple collection of the childhood pictures I could find of her. Well, at least those which still existed on my PC.

Now. The card was trimmed to fit the box, and I created a "belt" for the box (=more things to decorate!) Here I just added stuff I had on my desk - the canvas butterfly was something I created earlier while inspired by Ronda and her stamped canvas butterflies...It's all sitting nicely atop a chipboard file folder from the Road Rage Sings chipboard set.
