Hi everyone!!
This is Karen Grunberg. I am back this month to share another layout with you.
I have two sons and I often hear people say that they worry they can't use flowers or pink on their "boy" pages, so I thought it would share one of my recent layouts that has both:
not only does this layout have flowers, but it has a LOT of flowers. I wanted to have fun with it so I made a collection of them and just mixed sizes and colors I liked.
and then I added a few more on the other side just to balance it out a bit.
I cut that little yellow rose out of our trim. Isn't it cute alone like that? I used a blue one on the corner, too. Don't be afraid to cut out trim (or any embellishment really.)
I also had fun with my zipper trims. I added two layers and snuck some other colored trim in between and then some pins in the back. I stitched them all down to make sure they would not move.
And there you go. Flowers, pink, boys... all happy together.
The journaling on this page says: I was watching you play with the batman toy. How you pick a type, you think and then you choose your answer. And when you get it right you do a little dance and cheer yourself on. I love that you take the time to congratulate yourself for a job well done! Make sure to always always take time to do that in your life. You're a great example to all of us. I love you Nathaniel!!
And there we go. Do you dare use flowers and pinks on your boy pages or are you reluctant to do so? If you have some flowery pink boy pages, link me up in the comments so I can see it!
Absolutely stunning Karen!!!
