I love thrifting....ok maybe I am a little obsessed with it but I sure do find some amazing things! Recently I found this cute hoop and some counted cross-stitch fabric and decided that together with my Maya Road products I could make a cute project. What I came up with is this!
First I placed my fabric in the hoop and trimmed it to fit. Next using Fabri-tac by Beacon I adhered the linen heart to the cross-stitch fabric. I love Maya Road's twine and used it to sew around the outside of the linen heart. The rest was all about the embellishments. I used the crochet heart trim to trim the backside of my hoop. Next, I placed a Burlap Medallion Mum on top of the heart. Using 8 of the wooden heart buttons I created a "flower" of sorts and I glued them to a circle piece of chipboard. This was a perfect base for the adorable deer resin to rest on as I wanted it to be the focus of my project. Using 5 metal Perfect Shot Arrows and some jewelry hoop rings I linked them together and then secured them to the project using floss. I used three different sized pieces of the Rose Twine to make my dimensional bow and added just the top of the Super Star Pin in Gold to finish off the look. The final addition was adding the words "Oh Dear" to my canvas. I did this by penciling in the word and sewing by hand. I hope I have inspired you to use Maya Road Products in any kind of project making. It's time for me to go.....I have some more thrifting to do!
