I am so blessed and happy to be sharing some of my work as part of this amazing group of designers. To say that i am excited to work with all the Maya Road products is an understatement, so for my first post, I decided to create a pair of scrapbook layouts that speak of my style.
My first layout is all about my family, and my love for hand stitching and embroidery art.
I used 3 sets of dies to create the pieces in this cluster (all the papers come from Pink Paislee's Take Me Away collection by Paige Evans). I tied them all together by having the dyed piece of ribbon on the background, and ending with the small wooden embroidery hoop.
My title was created using a cut file from the Silhouette Store, and a few hand stitches. I used the small die-cut flowers to continue the detail of the page.
To add details to my picture, i used some small pieces from different Maya Road products, and created a second tag using one of the lovely Maya Road dies. Here is the complete layout:
For my second layout, "Fabulous", i chose to use the Rolled Flower die to create lots of flowers from Pink Paislee's Take Me Away collection.
I used the paper flowers to fill the inside of hand-stitched heart. Once i had filled the heart, I added my daughter's picture along a few small pieces from the beautiful Maya Road products
I love the versatility of the products, and how they softly enhanced the picture. Here is the completed layout (which is now hanging in my daughter's room):
