Hi Roadies! I hope your summer has been filled with fun and friends. It's Katrina here on the blog today sharing a selfie layout with one of our best friend's dog and I. They came down in July and Cooper is just an old softie! We have known him since he was a pup and he is now around 12 years old. Also, I used a bunch of Ken Oliver products on my layout today and we have a special on the website, 30% off all Ken Oliver products with the code KOlove. So if you see something you like grab it while it's on sale! You can find all those products HERE.
I love how Maya Road supplies just mix seamlessly with paper collections. You can alter them anyway you need to, or the color choices are neutral enough that you can add them as is. I recently got the Vintage Wood Mason Jars and when I saw the small chipboard hearts that went with the paper collection, I knew they would look cute filling the jar. I finished the top of the jar off with some Ken Oliver Jute Craft String and a Ken Oliver Vintage Mini Key. I did use a little liquid adhesive to hold that key just where I wanted it! I backed my picture with some pattern papers and an older Maya Road Kraft Envelope that I used Distress Oxide ink on in two different colors,
When I started my layout, I knew I wanted to use those Vintage Paper Leaves (Ken Oliver), but I had to decide what I wanted to go with them. I wanted to keep it small, so the Resin Flower Sets in Cool Grey and White were my go to item. The flowers come in a variety of sizes and I just figured out what worked with the look I wanted! I added a little shimmer to the leaves, but it's hard to see in the picture!
And to keep with the neutral embellishment color scheme, a Kraft Journaling Tag-Scroll to the rescue! I love bits and pieces tucked here and there. I added a few of the pre-made embellishments from the paper collection and I have a layout of getting a selfie with Cooper!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!! Have a GREAT week and enjoy the eclipse!
