my lumpy bumpy trees

so yeah i have been busy. here is a peek at my two newest trees i made a couple of days ago for christmas.

Img_1226the green one is hand stitched with ribbon slides all over it. i think i found some stuffing left over i had from the ring pillow i made from our wedding so i put it in the  felt tree. at the base, i put a TINY bag of rice to help the tree stand up. and since i was out of stuffing there are a couple of cotton balls that holds the bottom - hey you have to make do with what you got!

the red tree is made from a paper tussy mussy cone. i just turned it upside down and covered in embossed felt. next i decided to use my leftover buttons that was sitting in my drawer in the bathroom - these are all those extra buttons that come with your clothing that just tend to sit there year after year and you never can find the right one to replace the one button you lose. i decided that i would rather see all of them on a tree than have them hang out in my drawer any longer.

each of these trees took less than 45 minutes to make. how cute would ones like these look in your house?

and i did finish my first hawaii photo ornament complete with sand and shells. check it out here.

Lumpy-Bumpy trees have PERSONALITY ! Fun...

Love how the "Aloha" ornament turned out...I'll send you some flowers from a lei that I took apart if you would like...I can just see a few attatched to the yummy brown velvet ribbon where it is threaded through the ornament !

Thank you for sharing- Erin : )
