back in the swing of things

so we are back in the swing of things this week.

i haven't done much in terms of touching the piles of new goodies we have released at CHA-S so today i decided to take about 15 minutes and work on a layout. i had this photo leftover and on my table so i couldn't resist.

so how many maya road products do you see here? LOL - in the photos there are actually 4 (the sheer scroll page from an album, the fleur stamp, the rubons for the word "serious" and the tree sheer ribbon.

for stamping onto my sheer scroll page, i used ranger's archival ink in jet black. after some experimenting, i found that it works on our sheer items nicely and if you let it set to dry for say 1 hour, the ink won't rub off .

i also used luxe's simply line as the background paper for this layout - some of my fave papers for simple layouts!

and i want to share with you all one of my favorites from the show - our mini tab albums that come on the 8" x 12" sheets. i haven't finished this album but i am close. you essentially get all the chipboard pieces and the rings to complete this album. that is one thing deb and i try to do, we try to make sure that you get everything almost complete - so the rings come with the album; you don't need to go out any buy them yourself! and for a price tag of less than $5, it is quite a nice gift you can make!

I do like that the rings will come with that mini book. That's a nice touch, because I can never find the rings I bought in bulk when I need them.

Everyday the first thing I do when I sign into my computer is go straight to the MR blogs to see what new works of art there are. I then print them out & put them in my "MR" binder that I have been keeping. My friends think I'm a little too obsessed but I don't care--I LOVE MR!! I love it all! How can I just choose 3 - well my first love is all of the cupcake items. I'm in love with all the new cupcake stuff - stamps, chipboard, chipboard album. Must have it all! My second must have is the new Maya mists. I can't wait to try it out. All of the Maya Road blogs have such awesome inspiration - it makes me feel like I can do anything (scrapbook wise)! My third love is the new sheer ribbon. I love the idea of adding alcohol ink to give it a new effect.
