so i have been working on a apron for myself for a couple of weeks - when i have little bits of time and can drag out my hello kitty sewing machine, i have been working on it. i FINALLY got it to a state of happy completion yesterday. check it out:
the fabrics are lovely (do you recognize them as they are also some cute scrapbooking papers) and leftovers from my hand coasters i made a couple of weeks ago. i just used some scrap fabrics together to make the front and added a pocket and some MR crushed velvet trim. i then created a waistband and tie and also lined the back of the apron with some non holiday fabric so i could use it all year long. check out what the back looks like:
you will see that i created a little pin with one of our Maya Road satin posies. i decided to make it a pin so that you could use it anywhere - like on the other side of the apron:
or when i am not sporting my apron, i can wear it on my hat:

I LOVE the apron! I've seen and recognized the fabric and wondered what I could do with it! Glad you thought and MADE something. Very, very cute! Great job!
