So I haven't posted a lot of scrapbooking projects lately because I haven't done any true projects in about a month. I have recently (in the last year or so) rediscovered a past love of mine - sewing. My mom taught my sister and I how to sew when we were little. We used to make primitive rabbits, dolls and such (and I guess they are called prims now) for craft shows to make some extra spending money. But after high school I didn't touch a sewing machine for about 15 years.
Slowly however, sewing is now back in my life. When I have time, I sew here and there. The other night, I was looking at this fabric:
People ask me when I find time to create projects. It is when DH and I are watching some shows on Netflix (since we don't have anything but regular basic basic basic cable). I have a hard time sitting still to watch a show and not be doing something.
I loved this pumpkin so much, that I decided to add some Maya Road products to it and dress it up a bit:
The original tutorial was featured on Martha Stewart, I believe and I found an updated version here. I added my own take on the stem to complete it. I am very happy with how it turned out and plan on making some more when I get the time!
