Jonathan's Birthday Party and CHA Sneak Peek #7

Today, we celebrated Jonathan's first birthday at Michael's at Shoreline. It is a banquet facility at Shoreline Park, overlooking a nice duck pond. Unfortunately, I did not get to take too many photos since I was participating in the festivities. But sometimes, it is better to enjoy the event than to have photos of it I guess. *gasp* did I say that?

We ran around like chickens without heads getting things ready, but while we were there, it was so much fun just to hang out with friends. Just a couple years ago, most of our friends did not have children, and now, it is family time! There were more than a dozen babies and toddlers all over the place, running left and right, crying, laughing, and having fun. And the crazy parents are running after them! It is hard to remember the working professionals we all used to be before these little ones entered our lives.

Jonathan enjoyed playing with the cake. He just started feeding himself (he is very particular when it comes to his hands and putting things in his mouth), so I put like three small pieces in his mouth and basically he played with the rest of it. He never managed to get any into his mouth.

Jonathan enjoyed playing with his friends, hanging out outside and more. And he got some cool presents from his friends. His two favorite right now are a little VTech Ice Cream set from his buddy Riley who just turned 1 last week and a cool set of blocks from his Aunt Suz and Uncle Greg. I loved the little car from my cousin and his wife, but he did not really get how to use it I think.

Anyhow, it is nearly 1am, so I better post the sneak peek and head to bed since J will be up early and we have church and then another friend's baby's 1st birthday party...
