2010

Wow, I can't believe 2010 is already here! During the Christmas Break, I was busy making some calendars for each of the grandparents to use this year. It isn't too late to start one!

Here is one I made for my mom and dad which I think they will adore and do you see a couple of new MR items which you haven't seen before? Look closely because I think you will!

 

 

 

Here are some tips on the basics - first of all start with our small acrylic calendar stand - it comes complete with 6 chipboard pages that you can cover front and back. Then start adding your favorite papers and photographs! I usually use picasa and print 9 wallet sized photos on a page - the wallet size photos are PERFECT for these calendar stand! Add some of the 2010 sheer calendars (you get 3 sets of 2010 dates in this 1 package) or some 2010 calendar rubons for the dates. Finish up with some embellishments and you are done!

I know that my parents and in-laws are going to love flipping through this album in 2010!

Love Album

Today we have a special album which is from a guest designer, Pooi from Singapore! We spotted this beautiful album on 2 peas and asked her to share it with us here.

Here is some information from Pooi about her album:

My idea of designing this love album is I wanted something small and light to bring along in my luggage when I travel to work overseas (away from my darling son).  I wanted an album to look at and feel inspired and motivated (where all the quotes for each month are my reminders).

And the MR sheer heart album is very easy to design on. It is a beautiful sheer album, light and easy to carry around.

I left the sheer part for the front cover without any patterned papers because the heart shape has a special curve outline. I decorated the front cover with flowers, MR trinket heart pins, some bling and love tickets.  I painted the sheer cover with some red, pink, blue acrylic paint. The sheer for the front cover has the translucent look that can see through the 1st page and it's awesome.

The album content is from Jan to December, with photos and quotes. The photos are cut according to the Maya Road heart shape album, giving the photo a full page with minimum embellishments. Distress inks are used to enhance the sides of the Maya Road heart shape album.
