I had the awesome Maya Road Gear Coaster Album...but felt stumped about what to do with it. My boys don't really play with cars any more, they are true-blue Lego fans. My friend Celeste suggested that I use the album to document their love of Legos, using the idea that their gears are always turning when they are playing. I loved the idea! It's true that when they play with Legos, they concentrate hard...you can almost see their brain turning and coming up with new and exciting creations.
When you get a shaped album, try thinking out of the box for your album's theme. You don't have to do what's obvious...be creative and you'll come up with fabulous!
What creative themes have you come up with for Maya Road albums? I'd love to hear about them!
This is AWESOME! I love it.

This is awesome. I love the colors. Any tips for sewing on chipboard, Dina? I did a little this week and had some trouble with the bobbin thread jamming (then in a fit of frustration, I sorta broke off the needle LOL). Just wondering if your machine is more "heavy-duty"?

Thanks for your comments! I have an old Kenmore machine that originally cost about $150. I use a medium-weight needle, and I seem to be able to sew over anything...even multiple layers of chipboard. The only thing I have encountered that my machine does not like is wet adhesive and glue dots. HTH!

This is adorable! Love the stitching too! I've saved my son's leggos (he is now 25) someday my grands will turn their gears in that huge box. Hope I remember this idea, LOL.

This is my absolute favorite new product. This gear shape will be perfect for me to make so special albums for my son. Our high school teams are the COGS (City of Genoa Schools) and we use a gear as an emblem, so I'm thrilled to have this available to me. I'm going to be spreading the word at school too -- So make sure you send lots of extras out our way because they are going to be flying off the shelf!
