Happy Friday everyone!
I am so happy to be joining you today with my first ever Maya Road blog post. I had so much fun preparing this project for you and hope you'll be inspired to create one for yourself.
I love planning out my week and getting myself organized and when I was deciding what type of project to create for you today, I chose to create a different type of weekly planner...one that could be kept out in plain sight to enjoy and to inspire.
Burlap is something I have seen popping up everywhere and I couldn't resist adding it to my project. I wanted to soften the look a bit so I painted it with Antique White acrylic paint to shabby it up and help it blend in.
Each page is embellished with things I love and things that help add to the shabby theme of my planner. All it takes to plan your week out is notepad paper and a paper clip to attach your to-do list to the backside of each page.
Even the littlest touches add extra charm and character...such as threading twine through the scallops on this page and attaching a button and metal charm.
Stamping is a simple and very effective way to add extra detail and Maya Road has so many beautiful stamps to enhance your project. For this particular page I used the Clocks Stamp Set.
The chipboard wings from the Wings & Hearts Mini Chipboard Set are all painted with Antique White acrylic paint, sanded to reveal a bit of raw chipboard, and then stamped with the Scrolls Singleton stamp. To add a bit of shine, I applied spray adhesive and lightly dusted the wings with glitter.
The Black & White Ticket Sheers fit perfectly down each page and let the details underneath show through.
The 2010 Black Calender Rubons work perfectly to add the days of the week to each page.
In addition to the supplies I already mentioned, here is a list of a few more things I used to create my planner:
Yellow & Pink Velvet Stitched Blossoms
Thanks for letting me share my project with you...make something pretty for yourself today.
