What better place to surround yourself with beautiful things than in your home!
Home is such a special place....love, art, beauty, harmony, growth, memories...many things are created in our homes. I wanted to start an album for myself to celebrate all thing home-y...things I love..quotes, memorabilia, favorites, pictures, journaling etc. The Maya Road Home Ring Book was a perfect place for me to being my project.
I can never resist throwing in added pockets and such into my memorabilia albums...they are my most favorite additions as they provide secret hiding places for journaling, pictures, trinkets, etc. I attached a Maya Road Library Card with Envelope on the inside front cover. I tucked a coffee stained envelope down inside the pocket and painted and embellished the front to create a coordinated element.
A painted, distressed, and machine stitched chipboard button was added to the roof of the house on this first page.
I then added a Maya Road Rectangular Kraft Envelope...all dressed up with paint, stickers, buttons, and paper.
The backside is embellished with more paper, trim, and ribbon and Maya Road Journaling Stamp and a tag from the Mini Chipboard Tag Set.
A sweet and simple phrase on this page...a favorite of mine...using the Maya Road Love Chipboard Mini Set, the Singleton Borders Stamp set, and Pink Maya Mist sprayed on the chipboard "love" which was then coated with glitter.
I used the same Maya Mist technique on this chipboard tree from Maya Road. I used Green Mist and sprayed it on the tree, then coated it with glitter to add some sparkle and a shabby, soft feel. I then added Maya Road Mini Tickets to follow along with the theme of my album.
This last page I have for my unfinished album is actually a divider left over from another Maya Road album...I like to mix in different shapes and sizes to add a bit more character and some unexpected touches. It is embellished with letters from the Maya Road David Chipboard Set.
Each day I'll continue to add my thoughts and special favorite touches to my album....I'll add memories that make me smile and that make my heart melt...all because of the wonderful place I call home.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

I love this! Love the colors too. I've held onto some glittery envelopes I made years ago and know they were waiting for me to make this album. Thanks.
