Hi Roadies! It's been a fun, HOT summer so far and the kids and I are definitely loving the long lazy days! Here is a little canvas album I made of the kids enjoying their new "slip n slide" on a particularly hot day.
This cute 4" Canvas Binder comes with 3 chipboard pages and 3 canvas ones and is a great size to work with. I painted some large and small Alterable Buttons and then layered them onto mini chipboard sun shapes, from the How's the Weather CB Set.
I kept most of the canvas on the binder in it's natural state, just adding some acrylic paint to the spine, a little patterned paper, some stickers and (my favorite) Zipper Trim for added texture.

The inside of the album was kept simple. I trimmed my 4"x6" photos to fill the pages and just added a few mini chipboard shapes, buttons and rub-ons.
For the canvas pages, I used my sewing machine to stitch around the edges. Then used markers to color around the frayed edges. "Smile" (from the Say Cheese Stamp Set) was stamped directly onto canvas, while the journaling was printed out onto a scrap piece of canvas first, then glued onto the page.
I used some of the new Kraft Notes and Envelopes in the album too, I added the larger square one as a page and the smaller one (seen in the last photo) was adhered to the canvas page.
On the last page, I've left a spot to jot down some of the kids favorite things done over the summer.
