Is it spring yet?
Well, not quite where I live. At least another month of winter to go but I am longing for some butterflies and flowers and a dose of beautiful fresh color. The easiest way to get a little spring in my life right now is to get creative and make myself something.
I thought creating a fun little embossed mini-wallhanging would be just the ticket.
Did you know you can emboss Maya Road chipboard? I started off with one of the covers of a Scallop Square Basic Album. These albums are fabulous as you can use them as an album or change it up a little and create something else like a card base or this wallhanging.
It will take a little pressure but this chipboard album cover will fit into an embossing folder and can be ran through a die cut machine. I love the texture it adds and it's highlighted here with a little paint.
The Vintage Mini Rulers are so fun to work with and they fit perfectly on this project as a frame to hold all my spring embellishments. Just adhere them into a square with some strong dry adhesive tape and you have a little frame.
Adding a pop of color to embellishments is quick and easy with Maya Road Mists. The Velvet Resin Blossoms take ink and mists really well with their flocked finish. These ones are misted with the Blue Agave Metallic Mist.
To hang up this project, some little trinket pins were inserted into the chipboard and then some of the fabulous new Twine Cording was tied onto them.
Try making yourself a little Maya Road project to brighten your day. I guarantee you it will make you smile.
So very pretty!
