I am so loving all the wood elements that Maya Road offers. There are so many things to do with them. Several of my most recent CHA projects contained some of these amazing wooden elements. Today I will share with you how I used them and how you can use and alter them to use in your projects.
I simply love Maya Roads wooden spools. Here I used them as canvas page turners. I wound some burlap pieces around a spool that I had stained with walnut ink and then sewed them to the page.
I am in love with these wooden doilies. You can ink them, paint them, and in this case I submerged them in some thick embossing enamel using a UTEE melting pot. It gives the wood doily a great texture and shine!
I also did this technique to the cute little vintage paper roses and kraft doilies and wooden bird!
Here I used some wooden snowflakes that I inked and used as embellishments. And even though it's not real wood I used some vinyl flooring samples pieces to make these die cut leaves. Love those fabulous Maya Road trinket button pins!! :)
Oh aren't these wooden rulers cute!? Again, I inked them and glued them together on the edge of a page to make page turners!
There are so many fun ways to use the wooden products that Maya Road offers. I hope these ideas have inspited you to use your wooden Maya Road products in a new and fun way!
Amazing work, Shelley! Love how you used all the wood pieces!
