Hello Roadies! One of my surprise loves from the Early Spring release is the Hexagons Chipboard Set. I tend to resist most of the trends, but when I started playing with these chipboard pieces, I was swayed mightily. Little bits of graphic joy all bundled together. What's not to love?
Five different sizes and two different varieties, a solid and a removable center, there is so much one can do! I tried numerous techniques on this card, I misted the chipboard with Avocado, Fig Magenta, Mustard Yellow, and Charcoal.
I cut out a reverse mask so I could stamp with the Houndstooth Singleton Stamp set and then used it for misting as well.
I framed one of the shapes with some Earl Grey zipper trim I'd cut down and snipped to fold nicely at the corners.
I also misted one of the Vintage Wooden Butterflies with Charcoal, then I covered it and a hexagon with some of the Iridescent Glitter.
I covered the large hexagon with some fabric paper and topped it off with the butterfly and a Vintage Leaf Pin in Pearl Cream. So pretty. I finished the card off with a strip of Trinket Ribbon in Pebble, it's a fabulous grey!
See how many things you can do with one chipboard set? And I didn't even emboss them! But that works great too, I just did it for one of my upcoming CHA projects. :)
And the coolest thing? If you stagger them just right, you can use various sizes together seemlessly like I did. What a fun look!
Very cute!! So many techniques in one adorable project! Love it!!!
