Hi everyone!
Karen here. Now that the CHA show is over, I wanted to share one of my projects with you. For the last few years, each of the design team members has been making a canvas with their photo on it. The only requirements are that it's a specific canvas and that it has to have a photo of you on it. Here is the one I did for the last show.
Here's what I did for this show:
I wanted to do something fun. As I looked at my drawer of supplies, the trim just stood out to me and looked like waves. I cut medium sized pieces and used several different blue and blue-green sprays and layered them to create the feel of waves.
Once I had the waves, it was easy to keep going. I painted my sky using sprays and a baby wipe. Then I added a chipboard bird and a wooden one.
Then I added some white clouds and cut off one piece of the Organza Primrose trim and sprayed it to create my son.
Some burlap trim, canvas triangle banners, and a piece of the canvas pendant banner album and my boat was done. And my final step was to add the photo and the title.
Thank you for letting me share!
Sometimes it's fun to use products differently than they were meant to be used. If you have projects that use our products in an unusal way, please leave us a comment, I'd love to see them!
Beautiful canvas! The colors are amazing. I love the rick rack waves... OK! I love everything!!
