Hello Roadies! Are you ready for winter? If you live somewhere that gets snow it doesn't officially feel like winter without it. Winter and snowmen seem to go hand in hand and I always like to make snowmen of the artificial kind for my crafting projects.
This snowman (or rather, snowgirl) isn't in a meadow, but in a white distressed lantern. I have a bunch of lanterns around since we used them for my son's wedding last fall so I like to try and use them for different things besides candles.
She is all decked out for some snowy celebrating in her Maya Road goodies. Notice her fancy pearl necklace made from the new Pearl Trim. She also wears alterable Wood Buttons and Trinket Pins galore.
Her hat is embellished also with the TuTu Tulle that is held in place with a Vintage Lustrous Button jewel.
Did you notice the bottle brush tree behind her? It's also decorated with Maya Road pretties like the Vintage Rhinestone Trim, a Velvet Point Blossom in Cream, more Trinket Pins and a Wood Snowflake. The base of the tree is a large Vintage Wood sewing Spool that is wrapped with floss and shining at the tip top is a Crystal Star Pin.
Also inside the snowy scene is a large painted Chipboard Snowflake and some of the Raspberry Beads strung on some wire. Don't they just look perfect for a winter day?
I can't forget to mention the always "perfect for any project"... Maya Road's Chipboard Mini Banner pieces that I wired to the top of the lantern along with a Vintage Wood Snowflake.
Thanks so much for stopping by to see my wintery snowgirl in her new home for the season. I must say that after "building" something inside of a small space that I greatly admire those people that have built ships in a bottle ;-) I hope that you're inspired to use something in a different way and that you'll look to Maya Road for all of the beautiful embellishments.
That is the cutest thing I have ever seen !! I love it .. I'm going to have to junking and try to find me a latern. Awesome project .. thanks for sharing !!

I am in LOVE! Especially cause we forget that snowpeople can be girls (that means I need to do one for each kid this year)! I may have one of those lanterns in a closet hiding somewhere begging to be used! Great way to use MR- so original!
