Hello Roodies, hope you guys had a wonderful weekend! Piradee here today to share my first blog post on the Maya Road blog and am so excited to be part of the family here.
For today, I want share this fun envelope mini album that I created using the landscape kraft envelopes as the base and filled with lots of yummy maya road goodies. On the cover I used the new vintage burlap roses in ocean color - just loving this shade of teal and goes great with the gold super star pins.
I opted to keep the kraft color as the main color for this mini ablum with touches of yellow and teal/turquoise through out the pages. On the crown chipboard piece, I first misted it with the turquioise metallic mist before layering it on a kraft scroll frame journaling tag. For the yellow color, I used metallic mustard yellow mist (loving the gorgeous gold shine and shimmer from this).
To add some variations to the mini ablum not only are some of the pages envelopes or cardstock, but I also added in a few vellum pages; I really like the semi-trasparent look and it's fun to layer on the embellishments or pictures across the pages (and not only on a page). For this page here, I used kraft decorative journaling tag, kraft die cut butterflies, kraft typography number and a vintage button stick pin to assemble this embellishment.
For this page, I added in the adorable our home metal vintage trinket by stapling the trinket to the page. Also seriously, you have haven't tried the metallic mustard mist you're definitely missing out. Isn't that yellow shine just gorgeous!
One of the reasons that I like to use envelopes as pages is because it gives you more places to store/document those memories. I love holding on to brochures or tickets to places that I visit when I travel. You neve know when you might be going back there again. On this page here... I went envelope in envelope, isnt' the white polka dot kraft note envelop just too cute!
And more butterflies, but this time I used the butterfly chipboard to add a fun dimension to the page.
And here's the fun part... I couldn't find the right size ring for the mini and therefore used the paper twine to create my own (with a little help of super glue).
Thanks everyone for stopping by and hope you guys have a great week!
