Hi everyone! This is Karen and I back with another layout!
I take a lot of photos of my kids so they are used to having to pose for me. The other day, I was taking photos of my little one and he said: Mommy I have an idea, I look like I be cold. And the hugged himself like he was freezing. After laughing for a few seconds, I took the opportunity to snap away and I knew I wanted to preserve the memory no matter what.
Here's what I came up with.
I love the thick twine Maya Road makes. It's considerably less fragile and I can do more creative things with it. I wanted to try and see if I could write parts of my title with it. I first wrote it using Glossy Accents and then slowly lay my twine on the glue. Some of them came out better than others but I still love the effect.
It also gave me the perfect opportunity to use the awesome new camera clip! I wanted to repeat the cameras all around so I first put it on my background using paint and a stencil. Then I added the clip on top and used the lightbulb to represent "idea" and then I finished it off with a polaroid frame wood piece on the top right. I love those frames and how they are small but not so small that I can't put something inside. I cut my little heart from the fabric tape (which I also love love love.)
And there we go, another lovely memory preserved.
Thank you for letting me share my layout and see you next month! If you've used the twine to spell parts of your title, I'd love to see it so please share in the comments.
