Hi Roadies... It's Laura here!
Today is my day to share some INSPIRATION so I thought I would share a project I created for CHA Summer. This altered art project began with a real life ART painting I fell in love with in an Italian magazine... Thus the title of the bouquet - Fiori (Flowers in Italian)
I happen to love flowers and saw a beautiful painting of a floral bouquet that I thought... "hmm, maybe I could re-create my artsy interpretation of it using all Maya Road flowers?!" That's what is so great about the many different things you can do with all of the Maya Road products.
So here's what I came up with:

A floral bouquet that just jumps out of the frame with color and life! I had SO much fun making this, I can't even tell you. Just going through my stash of Maya Road goodness and then playing around with the composition of the "bouquet" of flowers was a JOY!

I used one of the Maya Road burlap bags for the "vase" and then used some floral wire as the stem for all the flowers. As you can see I punched out some larger paper flowers as a base for some of the smaller flowers to give the bouquet more color and design.

I used a watercolor paper for the background and then splashed a little black paint and doodled on it for a more modern or current look. I also punched out a few clouds and outlined them with a black pen as well as went around the edge of the paper and lined and doodled a bit...

Here you can see the dimension of the finished project and some of the paint and doodling! I love how this "painting" pops out of the frame. Can't wait to hang this in my ARTSY room!
I hope this has inspired you to be creative with all of the Maya Road flowers. It's a great way to use some of that stash of goodies you've been saving for a long time. This would also be a perfect idea to make for a baby shower gift or a little girls room too. Let me know if you give this idea a try, I'd love to see what you are inspired to make!
Have a GREAT day everyone!!
