Hi Roadies!
Julia here with an altered clipboard to share with you today. If you've been following this blog over the past couple months you'll have noticed quite a few. The exciting thing with creativity is the many many possibilities. Give a design team an assignment to create an altered clipboard and you'll end up with so many different end results. I especially love the creativity and variety found in the Maya Road team. The combination of so many different styles never ceases to inspire me.
One of my favorite styles to create in is a feminine shabby chic style. This includes lots of layers, paint and distressing.
I'm not sure if I could figure out just how many I've added into this project but I just keep adding them in until I was happy with the result. The clipboard base is covered with printed tissue paper and then spritzed with White Out Maya Mist.
The paper layers are all clipped until the clipboard clip and then the embellishments are tucked in. This clipboard is a treasure trove of different Maya Road embellishments. Look closely and you'll find Vintage Edge Mums, Wood Buttons, Pink Gingham Country Posies, Vintage Sequin Flowers, Love Hangers, Our Town & Say Cheese Camera Transparencies, Kraft Layerable Flowers, & Mini Tag Canvas Pieces. If I play favorites, I really love the Photo Frames Chipboard. I've covered it with white paint and then blinged it up with some clear vintage glass glitter. The Vintage Oh Snap Camera embellishment is high on my must have list. The detail is amazing!
To finish up my clipboard project I added my name at the bottom in the Lisa Lower Case Chipboard Alphabet.
This was one of my favorite challenges of the year and so I'd like to challenge you to create your own altered project about you. Add in all your favorite bits and pieces, get creative and see where your journey takes you!
