Hello Roadies, Jennifer here! Today I'd like to share an idea using Maya Road's Oh Snap Camera Album. I have a few birthday's coming up, so I decided to turn the album into a base for a birthday centerpiece.
Once the celebration is over the box can be used for storage or as a home decor piece.
The base of the box was made by using two album pages, some recycled jars, thin cardboard sheets and foam board.
Above, you can see that I cut the plastic jar in half, then sandwiched each piece between the chipboard album pages. Hot glue was used to hold the jars in place. The thin cardboard was then wrapped around the pages and jars, creating a squished oval shape. Next I used some cardboard at the bottom of the box to make it solid. The foam board was then used to make the box / storage area in the center of the box. The die cut page of the album was covered with paper then attached to box.
The lens was made out of a round Foundation Chipboard Piece and different sized recycled jar lids.
A chipboard heart was added to the center of the lens, then diamond glaze was poured over it to give it a glassy look.
The flash was created using a couple square Chipboard Foundation Pieces with thin chipboard for the sides. Chipboard stars and a cut, glittered Geo Tag Love Clip were added to embellish.
The pinwheels were cut and embellished with chipboard blossoms and ball pins.
