I have a thing for compartments....drawers, cubbies, baskets, and most of all JARS!!! I love that they come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and colors. Whenever I am out thrifting I usually come home with a jar or two. This week I found a large honey jar and decided that this would be my Valentine's Project for this post.
What I love about Maya Road products are that there so many items to choose from and also and most importantly they are SO versatile and can be used in different ways in all kinds of projects. I kept this project pretty simple. First I adhered a kraft paper doilie onto the front of the honey jar. Then I took a strip of canvas and then my most favorite twine and wrapped that around the jar as well.
Next, was adding the details. I strung the ends of the twine through the small wooden heart buttons and knotted them on the back so they "dangle" from the twine. Next I added that fabulous Gold Bow and bit of honey/bee themed flair, and finally two super sweet pink heart pins!
In Photoshop I created a Apiary Label and put it on the top of the lid which I covered with the gorgeous trim. This jar will be on display in my house. I like that it's not in the traditional colors of Valentines and for now I filled it with buttons but I think candy hearts will end up in there eventually!
There are so many uses for Maya Road Products you just have to experiment and see what works for you! I so enjoy altering thrifting finds with my Maya Road goodies. I hope you have been inspired and I am happy to share my jar obsession with you! Happy creating!

I love this jar! What a cute and adorable valentine's idea. I love "Bee" Mine embellishment you used. Where can I find that at? My scrapbook room is honey bees, plus we have bees on our property. Thanks and happy scrappin'!!!
