Hello Roadies! It's Melody here today and I have a fun idea for a shaker card with lots of Maya Road embellishments. This is my first post as a Maya Road Design Team Member and I am so excited to be here!
To create the shaker portion of the card I die cut a circle into the card front and matted the circle with a black card stock. Behind the circle I added a piece of acetate.
I cut another circle of pink paper to go behind the acetate and added a Large Kraft Ticket stamped with a sentiment. To add space between the two card layers and keep the sequins inside the circle I added double-sided foam tape. I dropped in the sequins and adhered to two layer together.
Once the base of the card was put together I pulled out some Maya Road embellishments and came up with an arrangement I liked. I started with a Princess Pink Felt Rose and some additional flowers. I love the texture the wooden embellishments add. Here I used a Bingo Number, colored with a black marker, and a Vintage Wood Stitch Scallop Charm. I finished off the card with two Vintage Pearl Hot Pink Pins.
Thanks for stopping by!
