Hi Roadies! Jess here today with my first post for Maya Road and I couldn't be more excited to get rolling! Today I'm bringing you a mini album created with a plethora of awesome Maya Road bits and pieces.
I started with a binder album but removed several chipboard pages and replaced them with square kraft envelopes. I packed this mini full of little details. The cover layers a kraft library tag on top of the patterned paper, with stickers, an inked trim and cluster of velvet pleat, felt, and leather flowers... plus a few trinket pins tucked into the corner.
My favorite cover detail is the chain from some mini chipboard pieces hanging from the spine. I strung a vintage alterable trinket off of the chain and tied mini wood spools to some seam binding for a little extra adornment.
Here's a look at the inside:
I added other "pages" throughout that were purely decorative like this crocheted doily. You can also find several Maya chipboard birds that I've glittered gold.
Here you can see a kraft envelope page. I love adding these to mini albums because as long as you punch them at the sealed end you can open them and add more photos or mementos!
Here's another decorative element. These kraft doilies are gorgeous on layouts but really add something lovely to mini albums too.
I actually intentionally place elements sticking out the sides and top of my albums because I love the visual interest all those pieces add when the album is closed. No need to be neat and tidy here!
This is so fun!!! And I love the colors!!!!
