Hi Roadies! Kimberly here today with two quick and easy ways to add detail to your wood embellishments. I love the look of wood, but sometimes you need to add a little sparkle or a pop of color. The fantastic wood embellishments from Maya Road make that incredibly easy to do!
Every crown needs a little sparkle! I added Glossy Accents inside the indented designs on this Wood Token. Then I poured a small amount of glitter from the Giltter Dust Sparkle Pack over the top. The excess was tapped off. If the glitter is in places you don't want it to be, simply use a small brush to flick it away.
My card was looking too pink and yellow, so I grabbed a Wood Shipping Tag and painted it with an aqua blue color. The paint does not take very long to dry. But if you are impatient like me, use your heat tool to speed the process up. I do find that the heat gun brings out the wood grain behind the paint, which I like.
I also layered in some Candy Dots Fabric Tape and Mini Pom Pom trim for an even more feminine looking card.
What are your favorite ways to dress up plain wood embellishments?
Thanks for stopping by!
