Felt Stocking Gift Card Holders

Hello Roadies! It's Melody here on the blog today. Gift cards can sometimes be the perfect gift at the holidays but it is nice to make them a little extra special with some pretty packaging. I have created little felt stockings using some Maya Road products that are the perfect size to hold a gift card, small gift, or a few sweet treats.

I cut the stockings from felt and then stitched about the edges. On two of the stocking I used the zig zag stitch on my sewing machine and on the red stocking I hand stitched around the edges using a blanket stitch.

After the stocking was stitched together I embellished this stocking with two Linen Mini Pennant Banner Pieces, a Maroon Red Felt Rose, and a Deer Head Clip. I added a twine loop at the top of the stocking so it could be hung on a Christmas tree with Twine Cording in Tomato Red.

This stocking is hand stitched together with a blanket stitch. I used the So Deer Steel Die to cut the deer from felt and added a rhinestone for the nose. At the top I added a "I ♥ You To the Moon and Back" Wood Button in Cream, two Small Paper Leaves, and two Super Star Pins in Gold.

For the third stocking I decided to go with less traditional holiday color theme and cut the stocking from pale blue felt. The ruffle is added with Pleated Glitter Tulle and then a row of Mini Pom Pom Trim in Cloud White. Keeping this stocking soft and feminine I add a Felt Rose in Princess Pink, a Teardrop Pearl Center, a Silver Christmas Tree Charm, and two Vintage Pearl Pins in Hot Pink.
