Hi Roadies! It's a week until Christmas, and I thought I would sneak in a few last-minute Christmas cards. For all of these cards, I used the gorgeous Holiday Treasures kit. In addition to holiday cards, this kit is perfect for your post-Christmas mini albums and layouts.
I die-cut a circle base and used the October Afternoon papers from the kit to layer on the base. On top of the papers, I layered the Small Organza Roses Ribbon and die-cut stars from the Holiday Treasures die-cutting files. The "25" wood veneer and Snowflake Chipboard were painted and glittered. I finished the card with the Oh Deer resin deer. The deer always make me smile.
My second card combined trims from the Holiday Treasures kit:
I was inspired by
THIS December Daily page to make a tree, but instead of papers, I substituted several trims and the Merry and Bright washi tape. As a tip, I put the washi tape on a strip of paper and not directly on the embossed background. The background allowed me to add foam tape behind the washi.
For my last card, I used the kit stamps:
I used one of my favorite stamping techniques to repeatedly stamp the background haphazardly with the "'tis the season" stamp and whitewash over the panel with watered-down white paint. Over the panel, I heat embossed the "Merry" stamp in gold embossing powder.
The wreath from the Holiday Treasures die-cutting files was cut and watercolored. I layered several embellishments but kept the card clean and simple.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a happy holidays!
