Hi there Roadies! It's Katrina from Paper, Scissors and Glue today to share a layout with you. Do you capture and scrap the random moments? Or are you an event type of scrapper? I love the random moments and I have a page with one of those pictures on it to share today. I also went a little more simpler with embellishments than I normally do. Sometimes it's nice to change up your routine!
I love the colors in this collection, but I loved the way the kraft library pocket played off of them when I was putting the layout together. I think it's my favorite thing about the layout. I love embellishing pockets and envelopes with all the fun little bits and bobs! Here I just wrapped some twine (one of my favs to do), added a die cut and then one of the stitchable wooden tokens on the pocket front.
I continued the heart theme on to the other side, with some of the chipboard hearts that Maya Road has. The collection I used also had chipboard hearts as additional embellishments, so I thought it would be fun to mix the two. To keep some flow, I painted the Maya hearts with some white acrylic paint. Then I decided to dress them up with some sequins and enamel dots as little touches. I love how they all look together.
This was one of my cleaner layouts, since I usually like a lot of "stuff" on projects. But as you can see, sometimes it's better to go simple and keep the focus on the picture! So, I hope I inspired you to mix it up a little bit! With colder weather coming here in the US, it's the perfect time to get a little extra scrapping time and try something new!
