Happy Friday, Roadies! This is Jess here with a fresh layout for you. I've been doing lots of fall projects lately and while I do love autumn colors I sometimes just need a break. I grabbed some lighter, brighter papers for this and pulled out some favorite Maya Road flowers and embellishments.
Of course my paper choices informed my embellishment choices. I love a white background to make everything pop and the woodgrain paper led me to pull out lots of wood embellishments, too.
I used a large kraft doily in my central cluster to ground all those colors and tie the area to the other wood and kraft elements. I strung a length of crochet trim along the side and used it to hang a metal leaf (love these!) and a tassel with some twine. I love having some movement on my pages.
I clustered felt flowers in several areas, tucking in a few paper leaves for fullness and color.
I never get tired of this protractor wood piece and use them everywhere! There's something so pretty about that semi-circle, especially with a small soaring bird on top.
I placed my linear title along the bottom and added another small grouping next to it. The wood here mirrors the wood at the top of the page and the green of the resin frame was a perfect match.
It felt like a breath of fresh air to play with these fun colors again and to reach for the Maya Road goodies that went with them!
