Hello Everyone. It's Yasmin on the blog here today and I have a video tutorial to share. :) Even though Christmas Time is running out and some of you might have taken down your christmas trees. It's still a good time to make some ornaments while you allready have all your christmas stuff out. I used awesome Maya Road products to make a little wintery scene in my litte jar.
I've used an empty baby food jar to make my ornament. Added some Maya Road Bottle Brush Trees and a little Resin deer to create my scene. I also added a little bit of sparkle in the jar to get that glistening effect.

Like I said in the video I do recommend using some sort of Heavy Body gel to glue the deer and the trees inside the jar.. It took a few days for the glue to really set inside. Cover the glue resedue with some of the snow tex.
Happy Wednesday, Roadies! It's smack in the middle of the winter holidays and here in New England the temps are low but our spirits are high. My family loves to make a tradition of getting hot cocoa when we're out Christmas shopping or getting our tree (or really any time the kids can weasel their way into a cup...) and these photos of a recent trip to Starbucks gave me the perfect excuse to use my new Maya Road coffee cup die!
I love pink and teal for winter colors. Somehow this color combo, with red, is undeniably wintery, especially when you add lots of snowflakes as I did here. I combined printed snowflakes with the more delicate die cut snowflakes in several clusters around my page. And the cute snowflake wood token added to the motif, too!
The coffee cup clip is TOO perfect, don't you think!? It perfectly balanced the coffee cup die on the other side of my photo. I used foam tape to give parts of it dimension and really pop it off the page.
I balanced the snowflake token with the mug token below my photo, added to one of many strips of ephemera, sequin trim, and crocheted trim.
I added a tag die cut and an arrow clip tied with twine at the bottom as well, to add some weight to the bottom of the page since my title was so top heavy.

This is the time of Christmas, this is the time of New Year, if you are going to prepare gifts for families or friends, why not handmade a few beautiful gift boxes, not just for the gifts, they can use them again for storage or display after the season, what a cool idea!
Today I am showing you two gift box ideas that you can be inspired, they are both covered with white drawing papers, I love the pure white which bring out the embellishments very well, of course you can choose other colors if you want to.
Above are the details for one of the gift boxes, I used a wide ribbon bow as base which covered the lid of the box only. Maya Road tulle flowers are one of favorite, love the texture which is easy to match with other embellishments. The orange resin frame is so lovely here, and it is definitely an eye catching point on the box. A tag is an essential for me as a gift, so I added a stamped burlap tag, a wooden tag frame and a tassel together using a twine, hanging next to the bow.
The above shows you the details of the other gift box. The tulle flowers is the focal point of this gift box, made by Maya Road glitter tulle, round a length up and added a wood button in the middle. Another eye catching points would be the felt blossoms, a grey and a salmon, love so much the colors and the texture. I added some other wood elements like tiny spool, mini wood hoop and the new Maya Road wood slices, these all made the gift box an elegant but a fresh look. As I mentioned above, a tag is an essential for gift box, I did nearly the same here, a stamped burlap tag and a tassel, they are all perfectly matched.

Hello Roadies!
I can 't believe we are about to celebrate Christmas, which means both my kids will be celebrating their birthdays, too! That's right, both my kids are Christmas babies, as they were born on the 23rd and 27th of December! I think God smile upon my husband and i when he blessed us twice on Christmas time; it is his way of making Christmas more jolly! With that in mind, I created a layout that celebrates my kids and the season.
For this project, I started by using the Wood Embroidery Hoops as a way to create Christmas ornament that could house each of the kids's pictures. I simply used gold embossing powder to add shine to the wood pieces. I cut the pictures to fit inside the wood embroidery hoops, and layered some fun foam behind the pictures. The pretty resin bows and the Gold ice crystal charms helped to create a Christmas ornament frame.
To recreate the Mistletoe bouquet, i used the Cut Shoppe's "Under the Mistletoe" cut file, and added some Mini Resin mums, and pieces of old trims to recreate the small berries at the ends of each mistletoe branch.
In order to complete the mistletoe ornament image, some small pieces of Cherry jute twine cording were used to tie the ornaments to the top of the mistletoe sprig. A pair of holes were punched to the top of the page (making sure they match the point of intersection of both sprigs). A pair of milk white tassels was then attached to the ornaments, and they were all tied up with a piece of Ken Oliver's Seam binding -which was threaded through the holes punched in the layout-
Finally, I added the title of this project using a combination of alphas from one of Maggie Holmes creations, and a cute file from Rhonna Farrer (available at the Silhouette Store). To repeat the look of the twine, a mixed of red and white embroidery floss was used to stitched the word, "Christmas", to the page.
What can i say? I love how this layout came together at the end. I am glad, i could add lots of details by using the beautiful Maya Road products.

Hi Roadies! It's Melody here on the blog today. I have a scrapbook layout to share with you today. Each year I add a scrapbook layout with our Christmas card for that year to our album. It is fun to look back through the years!
My daughter Lisa got married this year and we actually had a photo of all of us to send out! I layered a variety of patterned papers and vellum to frame the photo. I embossed the vellum with an embossing folder to added a little more texture.
I cut three snowflakes with the Winter Wonderland Snowflakes Die from white card stock and add a little glitter with a glitter pen. I also tucked a Golden Ice Crystal Charm slightly under the photo. I like to use a thin foam tape when I attach photos, leaving the edges free, to I can tuck in some of the embellishments.
I love the So Deer Die! I have used it a lot this holiday season. Here I cut the deer from a gold foil. I used the Tabbed File Folder Die to add the tab at the top and added a word sticker.
At the bottom of the page I cut a gold frame with the Scalloped Frame ATC Die and the word "love" with the Fanciful Love Die. To finish off the page I scattered Resin Mini Mums in Snow White and clear sequins.

Hi Roadies! What is in your crafting plate today? For me, it had been a good change. A little slowing down and spending time on the things I love. This morning, the sun is up and shining. Love to wake up to such bright mornings and it makes me fresh.
Christmas is coming too soon! I try to get ahead of time and start on the Christmas cards early, so I don't get into the mad rush. Here, I am sharing 4 cards which I have done up pretty quickly with the help of Maya Road embellishments (Really, all you need for Christmas cards this year is Maya Road)
For the first card, I made use of the Maya Road Homemade Holidays stamp set as my primary 'ingredient'. It is so easy to use this set! You have all you need! I first stamped the circular bells with a random color, red or green. Then I matched it with the hanger portion and stamped. (This hanger portion is also available in the stamp set!) Before I laid all my bells onto the card base, i added some more stamping (the circles with dotted lines) in the background to highlight the bells. Then I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card base using some red pigment inks. Set it all up, and add some Cherry Red cording. When all is done, I decided to add some more blink to this card with the Silver Snow Crystal Charms!
For the next card, i decided to showcase one of my favourite flowers in the Maya Road Collection. This is the Cadmium Red Shimmering Pointed Petal Flower. Love its vibrance and how it shines! There is no need for any other embellishments with this flower! In my case, i added the alphabets 'J' and 'Y' to make up the word JOY. Then I added a little banner, stamped a tiny phrase from the Homemade Holidays Stamp Set.
Another card here with the same word Joy. This time my stamped sentiment has changed. One stamp set and it gives me this many possibilities. Instead of a large flower centre, I have used the Wood Snowflake button. For the background, I had distressed it with some darker blue distress inks to provide a contrast against my title.
And don't forget to use your dies as well! Dies are very important tools to my crafting purposes nowadays, and I can't do without them! Here is the So Deer Steel Die on some shiny dual tone foil paper that I had on hand. On the background, I did some random stamping of snowflakes. Even the dotted line edging the sides of my background is from the stamp set.

Hello there Roadies! It's Yvonne here to share a fun Christmas tag using Maya Road diecuts.
I started with a piece of cardboard. The top portion was torn off to reveal the corrugation underneath. Then I kind of went a little crazy with my diecutting.
I used the Merry Christmas die and layered the diecuts for a little more structure and depth.
Here you can see the So Deer steel die, Geometric leaf die and Scallop Frame ATC die in action.
