Maya Road Guest Designer: Daniela Dobson & Fresh Beginning Wood Pallet

Fresh Beginning Wood Pallet by Daniela Dobson

Maya Road Supplies:

DIY Wood  Pallet – 8x8
22mm Bulldog Clips – Bronze
Ken Oliver Vintage Ornate Buttons
Jute & Twine Cording
Medium Vintage Paper Flowers – White
Ornate Resin Frame - Sunshine
Vintage Linen Burlap Treasure Bags
Vintage Ken Oliver Bird Cages
Resin Nesting Birds - Snow White
Vintage Crafting Tassels (Gold Cap) - Milk White

 

This is an 8x8 pallet and I thought it would be perfect for displaying inspirational quotes here in my craft room. I went to Pinterest and found this quote that I really liked. The quote is printed with black ink with my laser printer. I ran the quote through my laminator using Deco Foil.

I painted the DIY Wood  Pallet – 8x8 cream color and let it dry. Once it was dry, I used a sponge to add Deco Foil liquid adhesive. Once it’s dry you can apply foil and the foil with stick to the adhesive only. The same process was used for the Resin Nesting Birds - Snow White and
Ornate Resin Frame – Sunshine. I colored the flowers with watercolor to match the other elements and let them dry.

I designed the flowers and leaves in my Silhouette Studio and cut them out using Silhouette Cameo. I watercolored the cut pieces and adhered them to the pallet. I layered Ornate Resin Frame – Sunshine with the Medium Vintage Paper Flowers – White and Resin Nesting Birds - Snow White. Bellow that I added Vintage Linen Burlap Treasure Bags with Jute & Twine Cording and Vintage Ken Oliver Bird Cages

. I tucked in Vintage Crafting Tassels (Gold Cap) - Milk White and two Ken Oliver Vintage Ornate Buttons that fit perfectly between the slots.

 

Here is a closer view of the Deco Foil printed quote. The 22mm Bulldog Clip – Bronze is holding the quote in place and can easily be changed with another quote for a different occasion or season.

Hi Donna. I found the quote on the internet and typed it myself in Silhouette Studio and printed it. I can tell you what font I used.
