Maya Road Guest Designer: Nicole Nowosad

It's sweet, sweet summertime and things are heating up as we kick off July! We are so excited to bring you one of our July guest designers....Nicole Nowosad!

Each month we feature a new friend of Maya Road and their beautiful, unique & creative style! This month we'll be featuring not only one but two guest designers and  we are thrilled to introduce you to Nicole and her fabulous creations. We have a huge crush on Nicole with her multi-faceted design skills and know you're going to love her as much as we do!

 

Nicole lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada with her husband Ian and three children, Noah, Lucas and Addsion. When not working full-time, or driving her kids between activities, Nicole can be found doing something creative, including creating digital cut files for JustNick. Nicole has her creative work published regularly in magazines, can be found teaching at events across Canada as well as online and her work seen on several manufacturers blogs.  Nicole has been paper crafting for almost 20 years and her style is bright and colorful and full of pattern!

To the Stars Wood Pallet by Nicole Nowosad

Good morning ! I am excited to be on the Maya Road blog as a guest this month! I created this fun wood pallet project by combining two Maya Road wood palettes together!

 

 

 

I started by painting the 6x6 mini wood palette white and sprinkled it with some black droplets and set it to dry. Next, I painted the 6x6 Mini Star Palette yellow and set it aside to dry. Once both pieces were dried, I sanded the edges of all the wood pieces lightly and then the fun began! I adhered the mini star pallett to the top of the square one, using some craft glue dots. I diecut the sentiment from black vinyl and adhered the words, adding in a few punched glitter stars for fun and a little sparkle.

 

 

I added a Ken Oliver Vintage charm to some Jute kraft string I tied around the mini star and an Acrylic Token to finish it off!
