Hello Roadies! This month we are doing a swap with Photoplay Paper! I used the brand-spanking new Christmas line Mad 4 Plaid, mixing in lots of Maya Road Vintage Charms and Ken Oliver Charms.
I wanted to get as many of the gorgeous papers on this layout as possible, so I decided to create a big title using Frosty, St. Nick, Trim the Tree, Merry and Festive papers from the Mad 4 Plaid collection pack. I cut the large title on my Silhouette and adhered it to my layout, then went through and machine-stitched with white thread for lots of fun texture.
My photo is slightly smaller than 4x6, so I used the Grey+, Green+ and Red+ papers to mat it, adding in a few cardstock stickers to the left for more layers. I added in a Wood Wild & Free Token over the stickers. The bottom right of the photo has another sticker with a token, this time I flipped the token over and used the blank side as a base for the Bottle Brush Tree.
I used Ken Oliver Vintage Bow and Candy Cane Charms, Ken Oliver Vintage Mini Key Charms (similar), and Vintage Findings Bronze Christmas Tree Charms all over the title area, using glue dots to adhere them and then hand-cranking my sewing machine to stitch through the hole on each charm. I think the bronze charms mix perfectly with the classic colors in this Photoplay collection.
There are tons of stickers in the Mad 4 Plaid collection, so I scattered the sequins and stars all over my page for more whimsy and color on the white background paper.
We are excited to be giving away a $20 coupon to the Maya Road online store to celebrate this blog hop.
One winner for the prizes will be chosen from entries on all of the blog posts here on the Maya Road Blog about the swap, including this one. Winner will be announced here on the blog next week. So stop by and comment each day for a chance to win! Be sure to also stop by Photoplay and social media for lots of inspiration as well!
I had so much fun making a Christmas layout in July! You can find all the Ken Oliver charms 30% off for the month of August HERE.

The plaid is so cute! And the keys are just adorable. What makes keys so cute? Not sure, maybe because they can mean adventure?
