Hello Roadies! It's Yasmin here on the blog today and It's been a while since I've posted anything on the blog but I'm back today with a little project I've made. Hopefully you will like it as much as I do. 

I love to rummage around down at the shoreline where I live and you can find all sorts of things that's floated in from the ocean. So I collect interesting pieces of driftwood and this time I figured that I wood just make a little boat.

So the boat is made by pieces of driftwood and twigs. I decorated it with paper to make sails added lace and other things. To keep the sails to the mast I used Maya Road Twine and it worked perfectly!

The Canvas banners where perfect in the top of the mast along with one of the star wooden buttons. I also use the new die set "Sand and Sea" to die cut out the words Sea and a couple of starfish.

I am a Star

Hi Roadies! Belly's on the blog today. This month we are featuring resin products, this is one of my project which had been displayed in the Winter CHA show and I used a few of beautiful Maya Road resins on it, how lovely is the resin matched with the sprayed golden Maya Road Star Pallet.

While I got this star pallet on hand, I knew I wanted to make it like a flower standing on the pot, so I recycled an old flower pot and altered it with pattern tissue paper. I covered a piece of wooden stick with lace trim and glue it on the back of the pallet. Here on the star, I decorated it with, of course, my photo, framed with Maya Road Stackable Wood Frame Charm, together with two matched tokens.

Next to the "this makes me happy" token, I placed a Porcelain Pink Pretty Resin Bows which highlighted with gesso.

I seldom have such kind of cutie photos, so I used the "#lol" token on this pallet. The Resin Nesting Bird is just fit to placed here facing the photo. On this pallet, I adhered a few Resin Mini Mums and splashed on gesso to finished it.

On the pot, not only the star pallet, there is also a burlap banner standing there. Love sooooo much the rabbit, the lace matched with the burlap banner, I used a BBQ stick to let it stand.

Other than the feautred resins, I used my favorite Maya Road Geometric Leaf Die and the Rolled Flower Die on this project, hope you like it!

12x12 Layout | You Belong Among Wildflowers

Hi Roadies!  It's Jill and I'm kicking off our Xyron Swap!

I received the Xyron Lite to use for this swap, and let me tell you..... this is one amazing little machine.  I was able to add in every single die cut piece and get adhesive in all the little tiny parts of the flowers, and ran them through the Xyron Lite all at once!  I included a photo of all the roses and leaves I used on my layout, as they came out of the Xyron Lite.

After deciding on the placement of all the With Love Nature Die Set roses and leaves, I stuck them down on my background paper.  It was so quick and easy to place all the die cuts using the Xyron Lite!

I kept all the die cuts to the left side of my layout and then placed my photo near the top center of the page.  I took this picture without realizing there was an ugly pipe in the background (and a dead plant!) so I used a piece of the Ken Oliver Vintage Trims -Mums right over the photo to cover up that unsightly pipe.  I also ran the trim through the Xyron to get full-coverage on the back of the trim so it would be strongly adhered to the picture.  I used a Mini Safety Pin in gold to hang a Vintage Crating Tassel in Milk White from the photo.

To the left of the photo I created a cluster of Classic Wood Tokens and Champagne Pearl Vintage Butterfly Pins.  To balance all of the embellishing on the left of the page, I added three Linen Mini Pennant Banner pieces and sewed them with gold thread.

The title is a mix of alphas from my stash, and I sewed through those as well to have consistency on my page.

I am a huge fan of Xyron and I think using the Xyron Lite made this layout come together so much faster than normal!

Hi Roadies! Belly is on the blog today.

I showed you a mixed media card which is much feminine months before, but I really want to create one good for man, so here you go this month.

I started by having Maya Road Vintage Trims on the base, in the lower part of the card. Then adding embellishments on the right, like the mason jar kraft tag, wood slices, tassel and the oh deer resin charm.

I then die cut white doilies and black scalloped frame, and layered them together. I also die cut "with love" with a piece of scraps and used as stencil, heat embossed the words with white and gold embossing powder. The heart chipboard accents on top of the die cuts had been gessoed and heat embossed with UTEE.

Lastly I added stamped canvas banners, a tulle flower, some tiny glass beads and flicked some blue ink over the card.

2016 FAMILY CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT by Jana Eubank

 

Each year I try to create an ornament with our family picture to add to our Christmas tree.

 

 

I used the 6x6 DIY Wood Mini Pallet as the base to my ornament, covering it with 6x6 patterned papers. I hot glued a ribbon to the sides of the pallet for hanging on the tree.

 

 

Next, I printed our family photo in black and white and matted it with white cardstock and accented it with a glittery snowflake.

 

For the center of the snowflake I used the Homemade Holidays Clear Stamp Set to stamp and emboss the "JOY" circle in white and gold embossing powder on a kraft cardstock circle.

 

Below the snowflake I added a Metal Arrow and Metal Vintage Ken Oliver Bird Cage as accents.

 

 

I adorned the top of the ornament with the year our photo was taken, using the Number Clips attached to the Linen Mini Pennant Banner Pieces. I strung them together with some white embroidery floss and added a metal Royal Key as an accent.

 

 

It looks so pretty hanging on our Christmas tree!

You are my Champion

Hi Roadies! Belly's on the blog today. I had made this kind of display mini album before, but I changed the theme this time. Trophy should not be just used for celebrating championship, it can also mean "you are the best" or as the title of this blog I've given "you are my champion". This trophy album I made for my friend to celebrate her boss first anniversary of being on that job, this is just cool to display at the office and remembering all the happiness of being working together in this year.

Down there in the album, I used a lot of Maya Road goodies to decorate, can't say more words of how they are great to be used on so many kinds of projects, you can see in this pic the pearl trim, the resin frame, the crochet trim and the kraft journaling tag, hohoho!

On the top of the album, I made a bow with Maya Road vintage burlap matched with a tulle flower, the birdie is used for decorating the back of the bow. Here at the back of the album, you will see burlap is always my favorite, ha, I used them a lot.

Okay, I can't miss the beautiful new Maya Road Steel Dies, here the front and back of the trophy. I die-cut two pieces of paper with the Maya Road Geometric Feather Die, adhered together on the cup before I sprayed it. You can find also the Banner Die I used to make the champion bow at the front of the trophy, the little heart is so cute.

Geometric Leaf Die | 12x12 Layout

Hey Roadies!  Jill back with another scrapbook page featuring the utterly perfect Geometric Leaf Die.  I added in a few beautiful resin mums and some linen banner pieces to put together a mixed media scrapbook page.

I began with a 12x12 piece of white cardstock prepped with clear gesso.  I used several colors of spray inks to add mixed media to my page.

I then used the Geometric Leaf Die to die cut several different patterned papers, even covering cardstock with washi to create my own patterned paper! The die cut right through like butter.  I adhered all the leaves and used gold thread to machine-stitch through the center of each leaf.

I used the Hey Girl Wood Tokens to embellish, placing one at the top of the page and one at the bottom of the photo with some additional die cut leaves. I created gold thread nests to tie in the gold stitching.

I adhered the Porcelain Pink Resin Mums to Linen Mini Banner Pieces that I strung with Tangerine Jute & Twine Cording.  I added a word from the title right on the banner, keeping it all close to the photo to pull the eye in to the center of the page.

The final look is a lovely Fall tea party page featuring my sweet girly!  Those die cut leaves are perfect for Autumn layouts.

I love Fall and it is my favorite season to scrapbook, check out the Geometric Leaf Die and create some awesome Fall pages of your own!

Halloween "BOO" Banner

Hey Roadies! It is Melody here on the blog today with a Halloween Banner. Fall is my favorite season and I look forward to hanging this banner on my mantle next month! 

For the base of my banner I used 5 tags. You could use ready made tags or die cut tags to the shape and size you want to use. The tags are hung on Twine Cording and attached with Wood Mini Clothes Pins in Gold. 

Here is a closer look at each tag. I used the Rolled Flower Die and orange felt to created the flower and then added Small Paper Leaves and a Small Vintage Paper Flowers in White. I also added a Corrugated Kraft Mail Tag and a star die cut with the Fanciful Wish Steel Die from gold glittered card stock. 

The letters that spell out "boo" are from the Lisa Lowercase Alphabet. These are chipboard letters. You can cover them, color them, or paint the letters. Here I colored the letters with a black marker and embossed them with a black and gold embossing powder. The orange card stock is cut with the Scalloped Frame ATC Die. I love Maya Road's Tassels! So cute. This Vintage Crafting Tassel Fog is in Fog Grey. At the bottom I attached a Vintage Key. 

I embellished this tag with an Resin Nesting Birds Snow White sitting on a wooden twig.

To add a little shine I added a Sparkle Sequin Bow Embellishment in Glam Gold and at bottom a cute, little Alterable Wood Bingo Motif that I accented with a black marker. 

And here is the last tag! At the top I attached a Ornate Resin Frame in Grey and in the center of the frame a Wise Owl Resin Charm in Snow White. Like the first tag, I finished off with another Rolled Flower in black felt, paper leaves and small paper flower.

Hi Roadies! Belly is here on the blog today. There are so many uses of canvas, mixed media is one of my favorite! Paint, draw, for expressing your personal creative minds... But it's also great for making with dimensions and pop-ups like what I am going to show you today.

 

 

Great coffee is the most refreshing way to start your day! This mug is a die-cut chipboard piece which I colored, stamped and covered with embossing powder. Just before the top layer of melted embossing powder cooled down, put the Maya Road Wood Daily Grind Token inside in order to let the mug uniquely.

 

 

Folding a stack of newspaper print pattern papers to form the scene, I put a Maya Road Tall Cup Clip behind the papers to give this corner an eye catching point, which can also match with the dairy scene.

 

 

 

 

The flowers on the top part reminds us of garden houses, the smell of flowers and leaves, and the beautiful bird songs flying in the air, our dream place to have a chat and a cup of coffee with friends.

Put Your Notes On

Hi Roadies! Belly is here on the blog today. My flat is getting old, I want to do something to "renew" it and decorate it. This Cork Notes Board I made is a wall decor, and is a family notes station too. On the cork there are pins which I decorated with Maya Road new Wood Spool Sentiment Tokens, perfect for family notes, photos or mementos. What a great way to personalize the walls!

 

These uniquely designed Wood Tokens are one of my favorites, just glue them on pins so they can be used as a practical tool for daily use.

 

 

This idea came to me while staring at my table full of notes, I hanged this burlap banner on the cork to remind me putting the notes on, each of the burlap banner is stamped with black ink, and they are just amazing.

 

 

This decorative pallet is new from Maya Road, they will come in variety designs. They are great for decorating, altering and even use as air plant stands.
