Maya Road & Ruby Rock-It Swap Day 3

Hi Roadies! It's Jocelyn on the blog. Today, is Day 3 of the Maya Road and Ruby Rock-It Swap!

There's inspiration over on the Ruby Rock-It blog, too. For the swap, I made a gift wrap with a box, tag, and card:

The Ruby Rock-It Happy Days collection is so cheerful! First up, I made a gift box:

I used the We R Memory Keepers Gift Box Punch to make a box with the Spot This paper. Next, I sealed the box with washi tape and created a topper. I layered the (coming soon!) Maya Road doily die-cut, a Satin Scallop Edge Bloom (with the pearl removed), and a Felt Rose.

I created a banner by adhering one of the Happy Days die-cuts to a Cream Pearl Ball Pin:

I made a card to go with the gift:

I punched 15 squares out of various Happy Days papers. I stitched them to a backing to create a quilt-like background.

To create the cluster, I fussy cut the Mason jars from the Captured Moments paper and layered them over a Kraft Note Envelope. I glittered the edges of the Kraft Vintage Butterfly and adhered the butterfly, Silver Alpha Stickers, and a Hot Pink Heart Trinket Pin. To finish the cluster, I wrapped ombre thread around a Wood Mini Spool.

For my last project, I created a simple tag for the gift box:

I started with the (coming soon) corrugated tag as a base and added a Ruby Rock-It Happy Days flower die-cut and a Feathered Friend bird. For the sentiment, I used glitter cardstock to die-cut the "hello" from one of the new Maya Road dies. The tag was finished with Jute Cord.

Maya Road & Ruby Rock-It Swap: Day 1

Hi Roadies!

Stacy here today kicking off Day 1 of Maya Road and Ruby Rock-It swap week! I am so lucky to be able to play with such amazing goodies from Maya Road and Ruby Rock-It, they complemented each other so well and it was so easy to be inspired! Don't forget to check out both blogs!

This time round, I was inspired to build a house decoration piece with a mini accordion album. I started to construct using the MR Home Sweet Home Mixed Media Album as the centrepiece. There is a also a mini accordion album tucked right behind the house to add more photos and thoughts!

I love the vivid and beautiful range of the pattern papers in the "Happy Days" collection. The happy colors help to brighten this project very much. After constructing the roof with different pattern papers from the collection, I also added pieces from the Happy Days die-cut pack, MR trims and chipboard swirls! I love how easily this project came about.

Here I added bunting (from the Happy Days die-cut pack) at the background, layered the photos, MR chipboard pieces and felt roses in between. Adding a few dew drops (Happy Days Droplets) to the fence spices up the whole decor as well! I also added some more mini photos using the MR wooden frames.

For the base, I used the MR scallop frame chipboard covered with Happy Day collection pattern paper and added some MR felt roses. The stand uses the MR vintage wood sewing spool. Right at the back, I left it simple with a title "Love" from the Ruby Rock-It die-cut pack, backed by MR scallop heart chipboards for the background.
