Hi Roadies! It's Julia here with a little holiday cheer as it's almost time to ring in the Christmas season.
Christmas is my favorite holiday and it's such a beautiful time of year with the lights and decorations, family and friends, food and even snow if you're lucky enough to get it. We usually do here in Canada where I live and it always seems to make the holiday that much more special.
Crafting and Christmas seem to go hand and hand and I love sending out handmade holiday cards each year when I get the chance. The holidays can be busy though so I like to steam-line my crafting and to make it easier, I really adore using a kit. Today's projects have all been created using the latest and fabulous Maya Road Kit called Handmade Holidays. It's perfect for cards as I've created here but it's also amazing for mini albums, shadow boxes, advent projects, gifts, etc.

This first card really plays up the rustic handmade holiday look. I love the paper line included in this kit and the woodgrain paper is so pretty. I've layered it with a beautiful linen star from Maya Road that's included in the kit. Actually, everything on this card is included with the exception of the thread and some white acrylic paint that I've altered the chipboard snowflakes with. I've used a dry brush technique to just lightly brush them with paint which really adds to the rustic look of the project.

My second card goes with a fun pink and red color combo that's inspired by the kit papers. As the card above, it has an exclusive journaling card on it and the darling wood deer makes a great focal point. To give it all a distressed look I've lightly sponged ink on each of the layers.

And finally, this sweet little snowglobe card is created with kit contents as well but especially features the Noel Die Set which comes as part of the kit. It's so easy to mix and match the sweet little die-cuts to create your own scene.

If you're interested in getting your Christmas crafting off to a great start be sure to check out the Handmade Holidays Kit. There are SO many fabulous items included in it including some amazing exclusives that you won't find any where else! Stamps, wood, flair, trims, stickers, papers, dies, trees and more!
