good stuff

thanks to everyone who bought one of the kits in our w/h sale. we have sold out of the kits already that the w/h has packed. i have gotten a couple of emails if we would consider offering some more kits - so what we have done is started a waiting list. if you want to be added to the list, use the contact us form and let us know!

i went for a walk/run with noah tonight - and right now i am running at the pace of a 3 year old. luckily the weather is nicer today (only high of 94 - LOL) but at sunset, the temps become more manageable!

here is my layout from my photo as it hangs on my fridge... i sometimes will out layouts on the fridge to look at until a new one comes along and then i stick them in the "pile" which i still have to organize.

i find myself by the fridge a lot not eating but trying to stay cool from the texas heat. all the people that told me that i would go stir crazy in this heat during my pregnancy were right.  i never thought i would be feeling so hot but the 100+ F is doing me in. i stay out of the sun when possible - even going to the car makes me short of breath.

hope you all are having a cooler summer than i am!

things have been going by in a blur these last couple of months. i found that i don't have a lot of photos of myself in my pregnant state so i took a couple the other day:

i am not super huge...yet. still have packed on the 20 lbs so but everything with baby girl is going well except for the occasional i have sat-down-and-i-can't-get-up syndrome. and the need-a-nap syndrome.

i have a layout planned for this photo. will share this weekend!

party update

whew, it has been a busy couple of days here. noah started back in summer school and we have been busy with our show prep but of course we took some time to celebrate noah's birthday. here are some shots from the big pool party day. here are the fondant robot cupcakes (and apparently some of the kiddos thought the robots were tasty as they ate them):

 

we all had lots of fun and noah is really starting to get the hang of the pool - which for a land locked bubba is a big deal.

and you can see that my belly is growing quite nicely for baby girl - only a couple more months to go!

getting ready

we are ready for noah's party tomorrow - just need to get some ice and everything is ready to go!

here are a couple of photos of the preparation. i saved the little gift pails for last as i know that noah would be all over them if he saw them earlier. and we had some "girl" robots for the little girls at the party too.

will be back with more on noah's party after the big event!

{hello my loves}

so here they are the first batch of the robots for noah's party. noah caught a glimpse of them today and asked if he could see them. then he asked if he could eat them. i was trying to explain to him that the fondant wasn't really good.

anyhow, each robot is unique. i mixed some food coloring in the fondant and away we went. i have 4 down and 4 more to go before his party.

i am pretty happy with how they all turned out and i hope they make a grand entrance on noah's cupcakes (those will be provided by costco - can't beat the quality and the cost!)

wednesdays

well as i have mentioned before, we have been very busy with Maya Road this summer. the balance of work and life can sometimes be tricky especially since mr noah has been out of school last week and this week.

i think i have the robots nailed down finally - fondant - it is like a baker's polymer clay. too bad i only have white fondant so i have to color each robot myself but they are looking very cool. i will take some pictures of the robot army when i am done. i think noah and his little buddies will like them a lot.

we try not to go over the top with all of noah's parties. we are keeping it simple by the pool with some veggies, fruits, nuts, robot cupcakes, tie dying and swimming. overall i think this party will have 20 guests including kiddos and parents and we will be able to keep it well under my budget of $150.
