Merry Everything

So November has been a super busy month for me. With lots of traveling and events, I hardly have had time to breathe. Speaking of breathe, today is the first day I have felt like not coughing a lung out after probably catching a virus about 2 weeks ago - one of the hazards of traveling.

So in the meantime, Julia and I have been planning this Merry Everything Kit! As the busy part of the season descends upon us, we thought it would be cool to have a Holiday Themed Embellihment Kit! The kit does not contain any papers but will pretty much coordinate with any of the Holiday papers out there. I love what Julia did here with the kit and some papers she had on hand:

The Truth

So while taking Olivia to school the other day, my husband found this on the whiteboard in her class:

My gal knows how to keep it real. She is the comedian in our family with her little thoughts and her fiery zest for life. 

She can go from grumpy:

To happy in the blink of an eye:

And she has an opinion about everything. I have been in a crazy sewing mood lately and I found a tutorial so I could create these pjs for my girl:

Her exact words when she saw this was "mama, I will look like a tree trunk on my legs and I don't like that because someone will chop me down!"

We all giggled at her logic. She definitely is the spice in our lives and we love her so. Even when she is difficult and brings drama into our lives, she is one of the most loving and affectionate kids I have ever met (at least with me).

But what we love most about her is she keeps it real. She knows what she likes and what she doesn't and she isn't afraid to express it. Our job as her parent is to teach her to temper it with respect. And she is learning. We cannot wait to help her navigate through life and hear what she has to say next about what she has learned. I cannot make up half of what she says or does but I wake up each morning looking forward to discovering new things about her and with her.
